At a grocery store in California, they were amazed that you could buy liquor in the store and it was cheap too!
We went to Lake Shasta in the later part of August, there was 22 of us that went and we rented 2 house boats for 4 days. We drove to Ashland and camped overnight since we couldn't find anywhere near Shasta to camp at, we stayed in a campground that had a ton of hippies, we were asked by 2 different people around midnight when we pulled in "Are you guys on a journey?" It was hilarious! We got to Lake Shasta the next morning and packed up the boats and found a cove to park in. It was in the 100's while we were there but we were in the water all weekend which was reported as being 76-80 degrees, perfect! We basically hung out all weekend, floating in tubes, on the Oasis Island (giant intertube), ate and did a lot of drinking the whole weekend! We had a wonderful time with everyone. Our friend Katie and her brother DJ brought their wave runners and took people for rides, did wakeboarding, and thankfully she was able to go get ice on the waverunners. It definitely would be better to have a ski boat but with the amount of people we had, we could have had an easy 3 ski boats. Everyone had a blast!

Now it's back to reality! All our trips for the year are done! Being out of the gym for a month
and not eating healthy caught up to me, gained a few pounds but I'm working on getting back on track, I know I can do it! :)
Right before we left for Shasta my friend Amber & her husband Chris had their baby, they didn't find out the sex before so it was exciting to hear they had a healthy baby boy! Amber was induced but ended up having a c-section. Congratulations to the new parents :)
